Our story
We get our name from Perley A. Thomas, the designer of the streetcar still in use on the St Charles line today. This car passes directly in front of the Hotel Perle, ferrying its passengers to and from their destinations from Uptown to the Garden District and deep into the city’s center. An outdated mode of transport, the slow, meandering page of the streetcar is just as much an embodiment of New Orleans as the streetcar is a vessel of the city’s uniquely rich history.The Hotel Perle honors New Orleans of past, present and future. We hope to usher our guests into their visit in a city that means so much to us.
